Franziska Kabutke was born in 1996 in Nuremberg. In 2017 she graduated her apprenticeship as a media designer in image and sound at a creative agency in her hometown. Afterwards, she began her studies in Film & Animation and Photography at the Technical University of Nuremberg, Faculty of Design. After two years she pursued a different path, dedicating her studies in cinematography. For five months she worked at ARRI Rental Munich at the camera, light and grip department. She particularly was enthusiastic about the analogue film technology. 2019 she got accepted at the renowned Film Academy Baden-Wuerttemberg, alongside her studies in cinematography, she also works as a freelance director of photography.
